It started with people drawing pretty pictures of Disney-esque cartoon gods, and then escalated as people started emulating the popular cartoon dog artists and creating their own cartoon dog characters. Most have very terrible anatomy, they're all very floofy and "pretty", usually have excess amounts of hair, unnatural colours, and even tattoos, piercings, and a god-awful amount of accessories. It's kind of hard to comprehend until you do a search for <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/#order=9&q=sparkle+dog" rel="nofollow">"sparkle dog"</a> on DA.
